A little catch-up on what’s been (and hasn’t been) happening lately. Can you believe I have hardly picked up a crochet hook this summer? I did work on my book a little. I took some better pictures and tightened up some of the writing but I didn’t do nearly enough of what I should have.
Partly, that was because I went on a seven day cruise with my family. We had such a fabulous time. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and it was wonderful being able to do it. My two sisters with their grown children and my hubby, son and I were able to go. All our youngest kids graduated from high school (three of them) and taking the cruise was a way to celebrate that milestone. We had such a good time!
Got to spend the weekend near the beach and had a little down time while the hubby and kiddo were sleeping. I couldn’t sleep in the hotel bed and by 6:00 a.m. I had to get out of bed. I went for a long walk along the beach and took some photos. It was fun seeing the beach community come to life. It was overcast and chilly and so empty. I knew in a few hours it wouldn’t be that way.
I was able to travel to Vegas with my hubby for a few days on his business trip. The stars must have aligned because I don’t normally get to go. Work schedules always work against us but this trip was during our Spring Break so I was Vegas bound. As a bonus, I scheduled in a visit with the in-laws so I could deliver the twin crochet babies I promised my mom-in-law.
I could have mailed them but it was so much more rewarding to hand deliver them to her. I’m always a little nervous when I custom make something for someone and give it to them for the first time. Happily, she loved them and her reaction was worth the stop over. It’s always nice seeing family so I’m really glad we went.
On this trip, we went see the Michael Jackson One Cirque show. The Cirque shows never cease to amaze me and this one was no exception. It was fantastic and so much fun.
